I did!  My aunt came up from Burlington, Iowa to spend a few days with us and all of my immediate family in the area got together for a very nice meal!

We had the whole gang at my house...both of my sisters, my nieces and nephews and all of my kids too.  Good food, good company and now the race is on for Christmas!

Andrew, you should come visit us and find out!  In my area (West Bank of the Mississippi River) we did not have flooding, so we made a very rapid recovery.  The sad thing is that so many folks are relocating and our population has not returned to its pre-Katrina level.  Politics...well, you watch the news.  What can I say?  New Orleans, however, remains one of the great American cities that everyone should get to at least once in their life.  I have a standing invitation to all Active Rain members...my husband is a great tour guide <tee hee...he doesn't know that I volunteer HIM>
