Carole, new construction is actually a very small percentage of sales in my area compared to the resales on the market.  It's all about what the buyer is looking for though.  Some want to personalize an existing home and some just want a brand new house.  They are certainly affordable though, aren't they?  We are lucky to have the prices we do here.
