The Commons: West Bank Neighborhood of the Week

The Commons

In my continuing review of gated communities on the West Bank, this week's focus is on The Commons in Gretna, LA.  Developed by Willow Builders in 1999, The Commons is centrally located on the West Bank of New Orleans off of Wall Blvd. with easy access to the Central Business District, NAS JRB New Orleans, the Metairie business district and more.

Lisa, You have so many communities and they all sound so lovely I know I would have a difficult time choosing---certainly a wonderful selection for your clients purchasing.

Lisa,  Great job on your 'neighborhood of the week!'  I think you do a fabulous job highlighting and this is a great Localism presentation!

Lisa, The Commons sounds like a very convenient neighborhood and a great place to live.  If people like it now, wait until the trees and flowers are in full bloom in springtime!

Everything looks so conveniently located to this community and the Commons sounds like it just may be a favorite for many. Relocations ....here they come!

Brian, it won't be long before I'll be able to take a whole new group of photos as the crepe myrtles begin to blossom.  I saw my first azaleas blooming this weekend - spring is in the air here!

John, I had about 6 visitors come through, including a couple of neighbors.  At least one couple seems to be pretty interested!

Sally, thanks!  It's a great location and we don't have that many places with new construction, so it's a very stable area with little turnover.

Sounds like the best of both worlds with the Commons. The homes are relatively new and the location is central to many aspects of a West Bank lifestyle?

Andrew, yep, you are right.  The location is terrific - easy access to so many different parts of the metro area that it doesn't matter where you work, your commute more than likely won't be more than 30 minutes.
