Today is the official first day of spring, when the days become longer than the nights, the weather begins to warm and signs of renewal begin to blossom all around us. Here are some recent signs that spring has already sprung on the West Bank of New Orleans.

While friends in the north are still shoveling snow and ice, we have these beautiful displays to brighten up the landscape. Isn't New Orleans a great place to call home?

Happy Spring, New Orleans!

Thanks, Julie! Happy Spring to you too :)
Sally, I love flowers too! The first yellow one is a daffodil. It was growing in the yard of one of my listings and I just couldn't pass it up without a photo :)
OOOOHHHHH!!!! Lisa, such pretty flowers. It's Spring here in San Antonio too -- I'm waiting for the Blue Bonnets to start blooming!!! I love Spring!!!!
Happy Spring, My Friend!!! :)
Lisa, I plan to take pictures of Blue Bonnets blooming -- I will send you some of the pictures!!! I'll probably post some too.
Bet you've never seen Mountain Laurel blooming either -- I'll take some pictures for you!!! Too bad you can't smell them -- they smell like grape soda.
Judi, I don't even know what Mountain Laurel is, so I would definitely love to see picture of it!
Adam, thanks - it's just a hobby, but I like it :)
Gorgeous flowers, great camera work! We've had some warm days but this weekend is going to be a little chilly. I'm ready for Spring weather to STAY! Happy Easter.
